Every ocean in Minecraft becomes Subnautica 2's underwater, built from the real Subnautica 2 on your PC: its creatures, tools, icons, sounds and text are read from your own install each time you play (nothing from Subnautica 2 is shipped).
What you get
- Subnautica 2's creatures with their real meshes, textures and sounds: Fluttertail schools, Halfmoons, the hit-and-run Needler and, in deep ocean, the Collector Leviathan, which grabs its prey and holds on until you fight back.
- Oxygen and depth survival: a 45-second breath instead of Minecraft's bubbles, drained faster the deeper you dive and refilled at the surface, with SN2's oxygen icon, PDA voice warnings and a depth readout.
- SN2 underwater: water colour and visibility change with depth, with SN2's shallows and deep-water ambience.
- Scanner, databank and blueprints: start with SN2's Scanner. Hold right-click on creatures to scan them into the databank (SN2's own entries) and unlock SN2 tools, then fabricate them from the PDA (Tab) with their SN2 recipes, names and icons: Survival Multitool, Basic Fins, Standard and High Capacity Air Tanks, Rebreather, Air Bladder, Flashlight and Wakemaker.
- Play with friends: press Play to host and friends join straight from Melty's join link (up to 8 players).
- One click: the first Play creates a SubnautiCraft world and drops you at sea over the nearest deep ocean.
You need
Minecraft: Java Edition and Subnautica 2 installed. Melty sets up Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge for you.
