Castle siege in Minecraft, with Stronghold 2's castle and Counter-Strike 1.6's guns.
You are the lord. You spawn in a castle built from Stronghold 2's own textures, under its music, greeted by its constable, with $800 and a Glock. Five waves of attackers march on the gate. Between waves the Counter-Strike buy menu (B) sells the real guns at their CS prices; in a wave you fire them with their real models, sounds and reload times.
Everything from Stronghold 2 and Counter-Strike is read from your own installed copies when the game starts. Nothing of either game is shipped.
What you get
- The castle: curtain walls with crenellations, four towers, a gatehouse and a keep, placed around your spawn in a fresh world, built from six blocks carrying Stronghold 2's castle wall, cut stone, cobbles, roof tiles, timber beams and crenellations.
- The guns: Glock 18 ($400), Desert Eagle ($650), AK-47 ($2500) and AWP ($4750, right mouse scopes), each drawn in first person from Counter-Strike's own view model, with its sounds, clip, reserve, cycle and reload times, HUD picture and ammo icon. Left mouse fires, R reloads.
- The money: $800 to start, $300 per kill, a bonus per cleared wave, capped at $16000, drawn with CS's own HUD digits.
- The siege: 5 waves of zombies and skeletons that spawn outside the walls and come for you. "Wave N of 5" and the countdown sit at the top of the screen.
- The constable: Stronghold 2's constable and lookouts speak at the right moments, with the game's own subtitles. Its music plays calm between waves, battle music during one, and "Victory is Ours" at the end.
You need
- Minecraft: Java Edition (Melty sets up its own Minecraft 1.21.8 + Fabric instance; you sign in with your Microsoft account once).
- Counter-Strike 1.6 (Steam). Never launched or modified: the mod only reads its files.
- Stronghold 2 (Steam). The mod finds it through Steam; without it the castle uses plain textures and the HUD says so.
