Play Resident Evil 7's story with up to three friends online. Each player runs their own copy of the game; the mod shows everyone to everyone and shares what happens to the enemies.
What you get
Up to 4 players. The host is Ethan. Everyone who joins is an armoured soldier, named Soldier 1 to 3 in join order.
Your picture on the mask. Each soldier has their player's Steam profile picture on the glass of the mask. It is a real texture on the model, lit by the room like the rest of the mask.
You see each other. Position, facing and the full body pose in real time, holding the same weapon the player holds, with a name tag.
Shared enemies. Damage a Molded and it loses that health in everyone's game; kill it and it dies for everyone.
Start side by side. Everyone loads their own save. When a joiner is in the same chapter as the host they are brought to the host's side once.
Dying. Whoever dies goes back to their own checkpoint and catches up; the others keep playing.
Good to know
The soldier model comes with Not a Hero, the free add-on. On a PC without it, players who join look like Ethan and have no picture.
Each game still runs its own story: doors, items, puzzles, cutscenes and where an enemy stands are not shared. Enemy health and deaths are.
Bodies are posed from the first-person animation, so they stand and aim as the player does but have no separate walk cycles.
The add-on episodes (Not a Hero, End of Zoe, Banned Footage) are not set up for co-op.
The profile pictures are saved as small texture files in the game folder while you play and removed again when the game closes.
