Minecraft, played like Hades. The camera tilts down to Hades's own angle, WASD moves along the screen, and you swing at the cursor. Fight Hades's real enemies through a Tartarus that Minecraft's world generator builds fresh for every world, take the Olympians' boons onto your Minecraft weapons, and face Megaera, the Fury. Alone or with up to three friends.
This is a mashup: you need both games. Minecraft is the game you play in, and everything from Hades (its enemies, gods, boons, numbers and art) is read from your own Hades install while it runs. Nothing from Hades is in the download.
What's in it
- Hades's camera: the fixed top-down view, cursor aiming, Space to dash, R to cast. F7 switches back to Minecraft's camera.
- Hades's enemies: the Wretched Thug, Wretched Witch and Wringer with their real animations, health, speed, damage and attack timings.
- Megaera, the Fury: her four phases from Hades (lunge, whip whirl, lightning, beam and summons), with a boss bar.
- 32 Olympian boons: Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Ares, Artemis, Aphrodite, Dionysus and Demeter each offer their Attack, Special, Cast and Dash boons, with Hades's values, rarities, portraits, icons and descriptions. Doom, Weak, Hangover, Chill, chain lightning, deflect and crits all work.
- Minecraft's weapons: swords, axes, bows, crossbows, tridents and maces each have a Special and take your boons. Your Cast is Hades's Bloodstone.
- A random Tartarus: chambers are scattered across the realm, each showing its god's sign over the door. Walk in, the doors seal, clear Hades's waves, take a boon. After 8 chambers the next one is Megaera's.
- Co-op for up to 4: friends join through Melty's join link (no port forwarding). The run's depth is shared; everyone picks their own boons.
Good to know
- The first Play opens Prism Launcher once: sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. Prism then downloads Minecraft and Java (a few minutes).
- The first start also reads your Hades's art (about a minute) and keeps it on your PC.
- Make a new world: it is the Tartarus realm by default.
