Two players in one New York. Each of you runs your own copy of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales with your own save, and sees the other player's Miles in the open city: running, swinging, climbing and fighting, in the suit that player is wearing.
Tested on two PCs on a local network
- Two Windows PCs on the same home network, each signed in to its own Steam account, played a full free-roam session together. Both players saw each other on the street, climbing towers, swinging across town, and again after fast travel. The three-minute clip on this page is from that session.
- Melty's own test passed three runs out of three.
- Playing over the internet has not been tested yet. Joining a friend in another home goes through Melty's relay, which has not been tried with this mod. If you can't connect, play on the same network for now and let us know.
How to play
One of you presses Play, the other joins from this page. Each of you loads a save as usual. Once both of you are in the city, you can see each other, and your friend shows on your map as a second hero marker.
What version 0.1 does
- Two-player free roam
- The other player's Miles is the game's own Miles model, moving with their real poses
- Suits follow, mask and hood included
- Nothing is written to your save files
Not yet
- Enemies, crimes and missions are not shared. Each player fights in their own city.
- The other player's web lines, gadgets and effects are not drawn.
- Two players per game.
Shared enemies, missions and saves are the goal for later versions.
Requirements
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on Steam, version 4.630.0.0. On any other version the mod switches itself off and the game runs unchanged.
- Both players need the same game version and the same Miles Together version.
