Max Payne's noir bullet time and Dead Rising 2's combo weapons, loose in Project Zomboid's outbreak.
You're Max Payne, waking up in the Muldraugh police station on a snowy night with a Beretta and a bottle of painkillers. Outside is the Knox County outbreak.
What's in it
Noir cold open: Max Payne's real graphic-novel panels and his narration, over his theme.
Bullet time: hold Caps Lock (rebind it in Options → Mods) to slow the world down. You get Max's slow-mo sounds and a sepia tint. It drains his hourglass, and kills refill it.
Painkillers: take them to heal and dull pain. Max says his line, and the HUD counts your doses. More turn up in police stations and medicine cabinets.
Dead Rising 2 combo weapons: six real combos, named and described by your copy of Dead Rising 2:
The first craft of each shows its combo card.
Music: Max Payne's score kicks in when zombies are chasing you. Dead Rising 2's store muzak plays in shops, diners and bars.
Max's voice: he speaks when he pops pills, gets hit, is badly wounded and dies.
