You wake up in Granny's bedroom and Halo Infinite's own announcer calls "Firefight". Survive five 60-second waves
while Granny hunts you, getting faster every wave. Then the front door unlocks for extraction: reach it, and Granny's
own escape ending plays to the announcer's "Extraction complete... Victory!".
What you get
Five waves + extraction. Granny's walk and chase speed rise each wave (x1.00 to x1.32, x1.40 during extraction).
The wave timer pauses while Granny is carrying you back to bed.
Granny's five days are your five lives. Getting caught costs a life, and the announcer calls it ("Two lives
left", "One life left"). Lose the last one and it's "Game over, defeat".
Extraction finale. After the final wave every lock on the front door is opened, a HUD marker points to the door,
and reaching it starts Granny's real escape ending.
Halo Infinite's real audio, read from your own install: Halo Infinite's announcer (rounds,
"Reinforcements", lives, "Extraction initiated/complete", "Victory", "Game over"), Firefight music that gets more
intense in later waves, and Halo shotgun and explosion sounds on hits.
Medals with announcer call-outs: That Was Close (escape a chase after Granny got within 4 m), Untouchable (survive
a wave unseen), Last Stand (clear a wave on your last life), Perfection (escape without losing a life), plus
Reversal (shoot Granny with her shotgun), Killjoy (pepper spray, freeze or crossbow hit) and Ninja (hide during a
chase and get away).
Halo-style HUD: wave title, timer, lives, banners and medal pop-ups.
Single player only: one player in Granny's house, no online or co-op play.
Needs
Granny (Steam, build 21006637) - the game you play.
Halo Infinite (Steam) installed - nothing from Halo is shipped. On first launch the mod reads 33 sounds from your
Halo Infinite Sound/win packages and decodes them into %LOCALAPPDATA%\HaloGranny\cache (a few MB). Halo Infinite
doesn't need to be running and is never modified.
Known limits (v0.1.0)
The Reversal, Killjoy and Ninja medals read Granny's own hit and hiding flags. They exist in the game and are read
every frame, but automated testing could not land a real shotgun, pepper or crossbow hit or a hide, so those three are
untested. Everything else was tested in the running game.
Music segments were picked by loudness and rhythm analysis, not by ear.
English announcer lines only.
