Two Gregorys, one Pizzaplex. Gregory Co-op lets two players share a Security Breach session over a direct peer-to-peer connection. No Steam API and no server.
What you get
A second Gregory model that appears next to you and moves exactly where your friend moves.
A friend who joins through your Melty link starts on your last save: your progress, items, missions and opened doors, and lands next to your Gregory.
Your animatronics and bots (Freddy, the StaffBots and other characters) are mirrored onto the friend's game, so both of you see them in the same place.
Items and missions you get after the friend has joined are replayed on their game within a second or so.
Up to 2 players. One hosts, the other joins with Melty's join link.
How to play
Both players install the mashup from Melty and own Security Breach.
The host presses Play, loads their save and gets into the Pizzaplex (save at a save point first, so the friend gets your latest progress), then shares the join link Melty shows.
The friend opens the link and presses Play, then uses the game's normal menu: Play Security Breach, Continue Game, Yes. The game loads the host's progress.
How saves are handled
The host's save file (about 2 KB) is sent to the friend and written into the slot the game's Continue button reads.
The friend's own save in that slot is snapshotted first and put back when the game closes (and at the next start, if the game crashed). The friend's own progress is not lost.
Switches in melty.properties: coopsave=0 turns off the host-save step, itemsync=0 turns off item and mission replay.
Good to know
Synced: Gregory's position, the animatronics and bots, the host's last saved checkpoint at join time, and items and missions after that.
Not synced: jump scares and cutscenes, new messages, flashlight battery and power levels, counters and minigame progress. If the host saves later, the friend picks it up the next time they join.
If your router doesn't open ports automatically (strict NAT / CGNAT), the host may need to allow UDP ports 27910-27960.
Other mods that change Gregory's body or camera may conflict.
Requires: Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (your own copy). Uses UE4SS, installed by Melty. MIT licensed, remixing welcome.
