Getting Up: Backrooms

You play Backrooms as normal, but you carry Trane's black book. Press G, line the sketch up on any wall, hold the cap down and sweep: the piece goes on a first coat at a time, exactly like getting up in the original. Slap stickers in a second, or hit a quick marker tag in a tight spot.

Everything you paint with comes out of your own copy of Getting Up while Backrooms runs: the tags, stickers, markers and full pieces with their sketch and underspray layers, the can, marker and sticker sounds, the free-form colours, the drips, and the Rep scoring table.

What you do

• Spray can, tags: 66 free-form tags in Getting Up's colours.
• Spray can, pieces: 90 of Trane's pieces. Getting Up's own outline goes up first, then underspray, then the fill.
• Stickers: 36 slaps.
• Marker: 59 tags.
• Rep, from Getting Up's rules: GOT UP, NO DRIPS, FAST, GO BIG, GO OVER and HEAVEN SPOT. Hold too long on finished paint and it drips, and the NO DRIPS bonus is gone.
• Risk: the can is loud. Rattling it and spraying report noise the way the game's own sounds do, so entities that listen can come for you. A big piece is a gamble.

Controls G get up or put the can away · hold left mouse to spray, write or slap · Left/Right flip the black book · Up next tool · Down next colour · B go big. Keys can be changed in controls.txt (see the README in the mod folder).

Good to know

• This release has no multiplayer. It is a single-player mod: your graffiti is only on your own screen.
• Graffiti lasts for the level you are in.
• You need both games installed. Nothing from either game is included in this download.
• Unofficial fan mod, not affiliated with either game. Uses the RE-UE4SS loader (MIT), included.
