Wake up in a sealed hallway of Abiotic Factor's GATE research facility, inside Minecraft.
You play in Minecraft: Java Edition (Fabric). Abiotic Factor is the required companion: its facility textures, creatures, scientists, item icons, voice lines and music are read from your own installed copy while you play. Nothing from either game is bundled.
What you do
Grab a Crowbar and Flashlight from the bench, then talk to Dr. Shepherd, who is stuck at the end of the hallway and needs his samples sealed.
Scavenge Duct Tape and an Energy Drink from the storage room, then clear Leyaks from the pitch-dark containment hall. Watch out for the Composer in the greenhouse.
Open the service door into a cafeteria, a security office and the reactor hall. Help Dr. Hill restart the reactors: find the Security Keycard, bring back two Fusion Cells, and put down the Symphonist.
Beyond the reactor, Frake is holed up in a security checkpoint. Collect three Field Batteries from the armory and the control room and clear the Leyaks swarming the checkpoint.
Then face the Reaper in the arena. It only takes damage while your lit Flashlight is on it, and at half health it calls Leyaks. Defeat it and step onto the gold pad to escape.
New in 0.2.0
A third quest, four new rooms (checkpoint, armory, control room, boss arena) and a Reaper boss fight with a boss bar.
Quest rooms stay sealed until you accept the quest, so you can't grab the items early.
Smarter creatures: they turn to show their side, back or front, Leyaks drain your Flashlight's light, the Symphonist's call pulls other creatures to you, and the lights flicker when something is near.
More ambience: distant alarms and clanks, a heartbeat when you're hurt, and a closer hum while the Reaper hunts you.
A respawn checkpoint after the reactor, so dying never sends you back to the start.
What comes from Abiotic Factor
Creature sprites rendered from the game's own models (Leyak, Symphonist, Composer, Reaper) and the scientists Dr. Shepherd, Dr. Hill and Frake, with their real voice lines and subtitles.
Facility wall, floor and ceiling textures, item icons (Crowbar, Flashlight, Energy Drink, Duct Tape, Keycard, Fusion Cell, Bandage) and the game's music and sound effects.
Good to know
Single player.
If you finished 0.1.0, delete the old "GATE Facility" world to see the new content, since the mod reopens your existing world.
Needs Minecraft: Java Edition and Abiotic Factor installed. The first launch reads your Abiotic Factor files into a local resource pack (about a minute) and needs internet once.
