GambleCraft
Gamble With Your Friends, but you are Steve. Real Minecraft runs hidden beside the casino and the two games talk live: Minecraft moves you and draws your hand, HUD and inventory, and the casino stays the casino.
What you can do
- Play every casino game as Steve. Slots, roulette, craps, the shop and the elevators work as they do without the mashup.
- Break the casino. Walls, floors, carpets, plants, tables: each piece drops the Minecraft block it is made of (wool from carpet, planks from wood, glass from windows, gold and diamonds from the fancy bits).
- Craft and build. Open Minecraft's inventory, craft tools to break the harder pieces, and place what you mined anywhere in the casino.
- Casino items in your hotbar. Dice, drinks and the casino's other items sit in Steve's inventory next to his blocks.
- A truck that sells Minecraft. The lobby's item truck stocks twice as many wares, all random Minecraft items and blocks for 3 to 8 tickets each.
- A clean start every session. Blocks, holes and inventory do not carry over to the next session.
- Friends. The casino's own lobby (up to 6 players) carries the Minecraft world's address, so friends who have the mashup are Steves in the same world.
Controls
Minecraft's own keys for moving, mining, building and the inventory.
- G or right-click: use what the casino has under the crosshair (a slot machine, a button, an item)
- Q / left mouse: throw / use the casino item in your hand
- R: the casino's emote wheel, middle mouse: ping
- O: Minecraft's menu, Esc: the casino's pause menu
What you need
- Gamble With Your Friends (Steam)
- Minecraft: Java Edition (your own account; Melty sets Minecraft up by itself the first time, which takes a few minutes)
Known limits
- Playing with friends: hosting is checked (the world opens and its address goes into the lobby). Joining with a second player has not been tested yet.
- A piece broken out of the casino is gone for Steve and on screen; the casino's own loose objects (dice, chips) still bump into the shape that was there.
