Press G in any Celeste chapter and Madeline becomes your Geometry Dash icon, with the icons and colours you picked in GD.
- All eight gamemodes. Hold V to open the gamemode wheel, aim, release: cube, ship, ball, UFO, wave, robot, spider or swing. A GD portal drops where you stand.
- One button, GD's rules. Your Celeste jump key jumps, flies, flips gravity, hops, zigzags or teleports, depending on the gamemode. You steer left and right yourself through Celeste's real rooms.
- Pads and orbs. Celeste's springs become yellow jump pads; dash crystals become yellow and pink orbs (press jump while touching one).
- GD's death. Its sound and burst, then you respawn as the icon.
Everything Geometry Dash (icons, portals, pads, orbs, sounds) is loaded from your own installed copy while Celeste runs, so you need both games: Celeste, and Geometry Dash installed from Steam on the same PC. Without Geometry Dash the mod tells you in the game and you stay as Madeline.
Good to know
- Single player. Dash, climb and grab are off while you are the icon.
- Celeste's rooms are built for dashing and climbing, so some can't be beaten in every gamemode. Swap gamemode or switch back to Madeline at any time.
- GD's movement is rebuilt from its known numbers (the cube jumps GD's 2.17 blocks, one block = one Celeste tile); it is not GD's own code.
- Robot and spider use their standing pose and don't animate yet.
- Both keys can be rebound in Mod Options > Cubeleste (controller: left and right stick click).
