You play Blade & Sorcery as usual. When you hurt someone, the mess is Blood Trail's.
What you get
- Wounds on the body, Blood Trail's way. Where a hit lands, the skin tears open in one of Blood Trail's ragged wound shapes and its under-skin gore shows through. Cuts leave gashes along the swing, stabs leave holes.
- Beat a face in. Blunt hits cave the flesh in where they land, and it stays that way. Hit the same spot again and it gets worse: split skin, then torn open, then down to the bone. Teeth and blood come out. Keep going and the head bursts into Blood Trail's head pieces, with brain, teeth and eyes.
- Blades still cut. Blade & Sorcery's slicing is unchanged. When a blade goes through, Blood Trail's spatter is thrown along the swing, the stump shows Blood Trail's torn meat, chunks drop out and it keeps dripping.
- Bodies pool. A body that dies and settles gets one of Blood Trail's spreading blood pools under it.
- Blood Trail's sounds on every cut, stab, crack and splat.
- Recent mess only. The newest blood marks and pieces stay and the oldest fade, so long fights keep running smoothly.
Single player. Works in any level and mode.
You need Blade & Sorcery and Blood Trail, both installed. Blood Trail's blood, flesh, bone and sounds are read from your own copy when the game starts (a few seconds the first time). Nothing from Blood Trail is in the download.
Good to know Other mods that rebuild enemy meshes (other wound or gore mods) can stop Blade & Sorcery's slicing from finishing. If slicing stops working, try with those turned off.
Unofficial fan mod by Knuckle & Gear Games, built with Claude. Blood Trail is by Electrovore; Blade & Sorcery is by WarpFrog. The bundled reader uses CUE4Parse (Apache-2.0) and SkiaSharp (MIT).
