baldi with half life movement
An offline, single-player mod for the player's copy of Baldi's Basics Plus. It keeps Baldi's own school, seven-notebook run, usual characters, events, items, and chase intact, while adding Source-style acceleration, low-friction carry, air steering, and a jump. Baldi and the school's ordinary characters keep disrupting the run.
The required Half-Life: Source copy supplies the Source material-physics data at launch. The plugin reads hl1/hl1_pak_dir.vpk from that copy and uses its friction_10 surface value in the movement calculation. No game maps, art, sound, models, or executables are included in this project or its release package.
The game handles its existing map and seven notebooks. This mod changes player movement only. It is not multiplayer.
Run dotnet build src/BaldiSourceMomentum.csproj -c Release. The source project references the installed Baldi game assemblies and the local BepInEx 5 files without copying those references into the plugin output. tools/preflight.ps1 checks the JSON design sheets and their references before the build.
Use the Melty release package. Melty installs the BepInEx loader and plugin into Baldi's Basics Plus, sets MASHUP_HL_SOURCE_DIR to the player's Half-Life: Source folder, and starts BALDI.exe. The mod reads the Source material data directly from that folder each run.
Press Space to jump. Existing Baldi movement keys, run/stamina, notebook collection, enemies, and win/loss rules remain the game's own.
This is an AI-assisted project. The listing license and remix setting remain unset until the creator establishes them.
