Swap your own Automation engine designs into American Truck Simulator trucks, true to spec.
Every engine you've designed in Automation – The Car Company Tycoon Game shows up as an engine for the Peterbilt 389 and 579 in American Truck Simulator, at the dealer and the service shop. Each keeps its real name, power, torque curve, idle and redline: a 300 hp V8 crawls up grades, a 2,000 hp nitromethane monster does not. Its shop icon is its own thumbnail from Automation (or its dyno curve when it has none).
Gearboxes: pair each engine with the Automation 10-speed of the same rpm class – the class is in both names (e.g. "Arowana Heron (Automation, 10k rpm)" + "Automation 10-speed (10k rpm)"). Each is geared so the engine's peak power lands at highway speed.
Auto-Interior builds: at the Peterbilt dealer you'll find ready-to-buy trucks in Automation's Standard, Premium and Luxury interior grades, with the whole interior fitted for you – trim, steering wheel, cabinet and cup-holder sets, and with the Cabin Accessories DLC also the phone/GPS, dash set, pillow, air freshener, back-panel item and toys – and one of your Automation engines already in it. The grade interiors are also in the shop as "Automation Standard/Premium/Luxury interior".
Always current: everything is rebuilt from your Automation save every time you press Play, so an engine you design today is in your truck the next time you drive.
Needs: American Truck Simulator 1.61+ and Automation (Steam). Without Automation the mod still loads and says "Automation not found" in the Mod Manager. Solo.
What it touches: on Play a small helper writes automation_garage.scs to your ATS mod folder and switches it on in your ATS profiles (a backup of each profile goes to %LOCALAPPDATA%\AutomationGarage\backups). No game files are changed and nothing from either game is shipped – your own copies are read on your PC. If Windows' Controlled folder access is on, it tells you how to allow it.
