Arkham Knight in Minecraft

Be Batman in a real Minecraft world.

Early version (v0.2). Three story missions so far, still being worked on, with more planned. After the last mission you can keep playing vanilla Minecraft: the world, your Batsuit and your gadgets stay with you.

The missions (they run one after another, each starting where the last ended)

1. Joker's Hostage Rescue. A fortress with towers, a keep, hostage cells and a throne. Free the hostages and beat the Joker.
2. Two-Face: Bank Heist. Gotham First Bank is under Two-Face's control. Laser tripwires guard the vault corridor. Hit the laser emitter with a batarang and hack the alarm console in the east office, or the alarm sounds and more thugs arrive. Then open the vault and fight Two-Face: his coin flip decides whether he is armoured against your fists (use batarangs) or shrugs off batarangs (use your fists).
3. Riddler's Revenge: Pinkney Orphanage. Catwoman fights beside you with an explosive collar ticking on her neck. Riddler's bots come in colours: blue bots can only be hurt by you, red bots only by Catwoman (stun them with a batarang so she can finish them). Solve three block puzzles (colours, a pattern, a riddle) to win three keys. Only one frees her, and a wrong key hurts her and costs you time.

Your kit

• Batsuit (B): a Batman skin, a glide cape, extra damage and a safer landing.
• Grapple gun: zip to ledges and towers, or yank a goon to you.
• Batarang: a thrown blade that damages and stuns.
• Detective vision (V): outlines enemies, hostages and allies through walls (blue and red bots show in their own colours).
• Stealth takedowns: hit an unaware goon from behind.

Arkham Knight is really in it. The mod reads sound effects, voice lines and music from your own installed copy of Batman: Arkham Knight when Minecraft starts. Nothing from the game is included in this download, so you need to own it.

Good to know

• Solo play. Use Easy difficulty or harder (enemies disappear on Peaceful).
• The first Play sets up Minecraft and asks you to sign in with your Microsoft account.
• Sound and voice clips are picked automatically from the game's audio, so some may not be the ones you expect.
• The missions are my own Minecraft-style versions, not Arkham's real maps or models. No Batmobile yet.
• Coming from v0.1? Your world carries on: once the Joker mission is done, the bank heist starts.
